Race 4 = Spain (Barcelona) |
The rain in Spain falls mainly on the racetrack. Torrential rain greeted the drivers in Barcelona making track conditions treacherous. From the start there were many near misses but no major damage noted. As the leading group created a rolling road block then the rear group started to amass damage with Michael Cobblers losing ⅔ of his bodywork before the 1st corner. This roadblock continued throughout the 1st corner causing both Michael Cobblers and Skarr Lectric to retire due to damage sustained. 3 other drivers lost bits of their cars in this corner. The race field spread out a little and then bunched up in the 3rd corner causing yet more damage to bodywork and some engine damage. The lead was continually changing between Nuk E Brown and Gerhard Cheeseburger, with neither seemingly wanting to keep the lead for any length of time. The 3rd corner also saw a spin from Fook Yu Nakajima who was struggling with the wet conditions. Despite these conditions all the drivers were pushing hard and squeezing all the power from their cars that was possible. Unfortuneately for Lucius Cameldung he pushed once too often and a large cloud of smoke was seen from the rear of the car as he ground to a halt. Lap 2 saw the ongoing duel between Brown and Cheeseburger with Cheeseburger showing his experience and gaining a comfortable lead. The rest of the field settled into their positions and drove a conservative race with no further retirements. The only real excitement was the close duel between Hertz Van Rental and Wolf Ferrari for 4th place. Wolf pushed the young driver close but Van Rental held out for a deserved 4th place and yet more points in his rookie season. All the drivers are hoping that the weather improves for the next race. |

Race 5 = France (Magny Cours) |
As if planned, the sun was shining on the track at Magny Cours with no sign of any clouds. Skarr Lectric took pole for the 1st time this season. A slow start saw Hertz van rental stall on the grid. As the field started moving, both of the BR racing teams cars took body work damage. The 1st corner saw Margot l'escargo take the lead, and Nuk E Brown saw the loss of tyres as he slid through the corner. Margot l'escargo then saw a puff of smoke from his engine as he pushed his lead. The track is renowned for being hard on engine wear, with the following engines puffing smoke in the long straight, Gerhard Cheeseburger’s, Michael Cobblers and Hugh Bends. Team Kamikaze were making moves all over the field, with Fook Yu Nakajima weaving through traffic to gain a place. Nuk E Brown in fighting off the challenge from Nakajima managed to damage his engine. The 3rd corner saw more carnage as drivers lost both tyres and fuel as gears were crunched to make the corner. Hertz Van rental took advantage of this and gained a massive 7 places. Skarr Lectric and Nuk E Brown were competing hard for the lead with the pack jostling for positions. Due to this jostling more bodywork was left on the road. The 1st corner on the 2nd lap saw lots more close encounters as the field closed up. Skarr Lectric managed to gain a lead and stretch it with no one closing up on him. Hertz Van Rental in his push for a podium place managed to lose control and spin out at the 3rd corner. The long stretch also saw the 1st retirement of the race as Nuk E Brown’s engine finally gave up in a cloud of smoke. Gerhard Cheeseburger and Michael Cobblers also suffered further engine wear down the stretch. Due to Fook Yu Nakajima pushing hard the rest of the field had to speed up. This led to the end of Cobblers race as his engine finally giving in. The 3rd corner saw the last fight for places with more close shaves with no damage, though it did see Hertz Van Rental spin for the 2nd time. Nakajima and Cameldung pushed each other to a close wheel to wheel finish. Skarr Lectric won the race easily from the rookie Foo King Last and Gerhard Cheeseburger gaining the last podium place. |

Race 6 = Germany (Hockenheim) |
Overcast skies again greeted the drivers as the 6th round of the championship began. Hugh Bends claimed his 2nd pole of the season with championship leader, Fook king last in 6th. Another slow moving start saw Fook yu Nakajima stall again, much to the frustration of his army of fans. There was a lot of manoeuvring and many close scrapes but no damage was sustained. The only damage caused was when Nakajima and Cameldung coming together before the start line, Cameldung coming worst. This seemed to be a continuation of the rivalry from the last race with neither driver giving any quarter. The race soon saw a break away from Hugh Bends and Van der Lynn leaving the rest of the field to fight for places. The 2nd corner soon saw the obligatory rolling road block which caused Michael Cobblers to brake hard and causing damage to his team mate, Wolf Ferrari. Gerhard Cheeseburger also sustained body work damage. The race leader continued to stretch his advantage with some excellent driving, though his engine did show signs of wear and tear. The 3rd corner saw more body work go flying as the heavens opened and the rain started, Nuk E Brown losing out as the weather changed. Hugh Bends then put his foot down causing more engine wear but gaining a larger lead over the field as the rain turned into a constant downpour. Hertz van rental then managed to collide and lose body work. The 2nd lap saw Hugh Bends stretch his lead so far that ½ way round he slipped into cruise control and stayed in 4th gear for the rest of the race. Behind the race leader carnage ensued as Wolf Ferrari was involved in a major pile up that caused his retirement, leaving behind more body work from numerous cars. The last corner saw Cheeseburger lose more bodywork as he tried to maintain 2nd place and overall lead of the championship. Skarr Lectric also lost body work down the long straight and he seemed to be the target of numerous drivers as he attempted to avoid further damage. This he managed to achieve to gain 6th place. Foo King Last was pushing hard in the rain to gain places when he managed to come together with Nuk E Brown resulting on both cars finishing in the gravel. In a repeat of the French Grand Prix, Nakajima and Cameldung raced wheel to wheel with Nakajima winning the race to be 7th. |
